ApplicationsThis area discusses the various applications (or portlets) that are available in Instant Communities. Because Instant Communities is based on the Liferay portal platform, there are helpful resources also available on the Liferay.com website. In particular, there are various documentation references available, including a book called the Liferay Portal Administrator’s Guide (free PDF, or printed edition), message boards, and a wiki. While some of the specifics of the Instant Communities implementation are slightly different than a generic version of Liferay, many elements are directly applicable. References to the Portal Administrator’s Guide are listed as Guide (pages). Links to the Liferay Wiki are also given for convenience where applicable.
